Saturday News and Notes

There has not been a whole lot of news coming out of the Southern Gospel world here of late so this will be short blurb today. I am heading out to a Youth Camp next week to be a camp counselor and there is not internet that I know of… I will try to find a WI-FI hotspot to get my daily dose of news… I am hoping to be attending a Kingsmen concert next Friday night after the Youth Camp is over… I will try and get a review written next weekend… And I will try to get to the bottom of the curious case of the baritone position for the Kingsmen… Now on to the topic of the day.

  • Check out this video of Scott Fowler on the Singing News website. It is quite funny and it is legit all the way up til towards the end… And then Scott had a little fun, at the expense of a certain trio…
  • Pray for Tony Greene as he is in the hospital for a virus that is causing his body to start to reject his new kidney, that he has had since last August. Keep this family in your prayers for they have been through quite a bit here in the last few years.
  • Go check this David Phelps concert review from Phil. There are some interesting tibits within the review. Including the info that one of the songs on the Gaither Vocal Bands upcoming project is “You Are My All In All” is indeed the modern day popular P&W song. It will be interesting to see how they have arranged this particular song… It could be quite polarizing for some fans…

That is all I have for this week… Be looking next Saturday or Monday for a Kingsmen Quartet concert review.
